well here is my weekend report and I'm keeping it short cause I still feel like crap from being drunk, despite the fact that I slept a lot and took a shower.
Friday:
well, I woke up, came to the computer lab, with my comp and downloaded a whole bunch of sailor moon artbook images. Tried to download the LA Sailor Moon onto my comp, but the computer lab was going to close at 1 p.m, so I couldn't do it. Went to get my check cashed, went to Borders where got G Gundam#3, went to get the car filled with gas, came home, took a shower and went to work. After work, I went to SF to meet up with ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) ohsupervinchyan at the Parc Renaissance hotel where Y-Con was being held at. On the way there, I ran intocrpsaiyan and I called ohsupervinchanto tell him that I was here. He sent Jason to meet up with me in the lobby of the hotel and went upstairs to see Anthony akagod_101. So, after hanging around for a while, ohsupervinchancomes down and we go meet up with hid dad, but I stopped bt BK to get some food. All of us tried to get some sleep, but later ontiduscalles Vincent and tells him that he needed his place to crash. So I stay up, surfing the net and when tidusshows up, I let him and we stayed up talking about cons and stuff. Oh yeah, tidus, don't forget to write your guide to pick up girls at anime cons LOL XD. After that, all of us went to bed like around 3 a.m.
Saturday:The events that happened on this day are just too long, but here are the main highlights:
After the 3 of us woke up like around 9, we watched the 1st episode of the LA Sailor Moon and it kicked ass. We watched the partial parody sub, and the commercials were hilarious, but it was worth it. After the 3 of us got ready, we went to Y-Con. We got there and I saw Shin. We catched up and since I wanted to know where Ryan was(Ryuunosuke Ayanami on the fanime board), he told me his room number and I went to see him. I saw his friend Lance the night before and it was cool to see Ryan again after AX. After we talked and he told me that ever since he came up here, he stayed inside the hotel room all day friday and that was the way is going to be saturday. After I told myself that I wasn't going to reg for the con, I changed my mind and I asked him to spot me $40 for the saturday reg. He did so and I thanked him. ^_^ I thought it was $40, but when I get down to the reg booth, it was $45 so I had to fork over the extra $5. I was in. But saturday for me didn't cut it. I saw in the day later on:Al, kimiko_desu, yammers along with Sergio and their other friend, lionboogy, positivespace and many other people from cosplay.com. I hung out with yammersand her friends after god_101 and his friends went to the video rooms, along with Jason and Vincent. So, since I was getting bored, I went to the dealer's room and it wasn't very good from last year's dealers room. I saw 3 things that I wanted, but since I only had $35 on me, I bought a cute Sailor Saturn pin. I didn't find any Sailor Moon or Sailor Saturn doujisnhi though. I did see a nice ass Ayumi Poster that had her wearing a very black devil suit. ^__^ I saw a couple of necklaces of her as well, and I wanted to buy them, but I didn't know if it would look good on me. Oh well. I went top JTown later with yammersand her friends, cause they wanted to see School of Rock and I went to Kinokuniya. As soon as I walked in, I went straight to the manga section in japanese and lo and behold, they had the 1st 2 volumes of the sailor moon manga revamped and the 1st volume of Aoi Nanase's follow up to Angel/Dust, PetitMonster. ^__^ So, I spent $22 on manga, leaving me with $13 to my name. I came back to the hotel and went up to Ryan's room, cause I didn't find a seat in the room where the cosplay was being held. So, we started drinking and I was hungry, but since I didn't want to waste any more $, Ryan again lent me $20 for food and I was grateful. I went to Carl's Jr, bought food, came back up and hanged around with Ryan, Lance and their friends for a while. By the time 10 p.m rolled around, we all headed downstairs and I ran into redxdestiny and her friends, cause they were going to the bishie auction. I showed her the stuff that I bought at jtown and then I went roaming around the hotel for a while. I saw crpsaiyanagain with god_101 and we hanged around and talked. Anthony had to go back to check on the video rooms, so me and crpsaiyan went to the bar. She bought a drink and we went back to the room where the bshie auction happened. Later on, Ryan and his friends show up, and since both events ran late back to back, the dance didn't start till midnight. I danced the night away and by 1;45 a.m sunday morning, I was hella thirsty. And this is where the night took an interesting turn of events, but since I have a nondisclosure agreement along with pysjoe_dilandu, if you want to know the details IM me. :p The good and bad thing is that I can say is, I got drunk from drinking the hard liquor in Justin's hotel room, clothes were taken off and massages were given around. by 4 a.m, I was "singing" in the bathroom and tried to get some sleep.
Sunday:
Like around 8 a.m, I woke up, and I felt like crap. Somehow, I tried to get some sleep and I couldn't. So, I had a really bad hangover, tried to drink some coffee and I went back to the bathroom to "sing" in the toilet once more. Later on, god_101along with Jason, we went to Carl's Jr for lunch and after we had that, the 3 of us went back up and after trying to sit straight and seeing crpsaiyanagain, my stomach couldn't handle most of the food, so in order to start feeling a lot better, I went back to the bathroom, to "sing" once more. After I came back, I layed down on the floor on the 4th floor plaza and stayed there guarding Anthony's and Jason's stuff. After getting some water, I started feeling a little bit better. So, by 5 p.m rolled around, I felt good enough to drive and left the hotel and the con. I was home by 6 p.m, got some instant ramen along with juice, tried to stay awake to watch the world series, but immediately fell asleep on my bed. I slept all night. I woke up like around midnight cause I needed something to drink and drank up some juice. Then after that, I went back to sleep.
Today:
I woke up, feeling a little bit better. Got oout of the house and went to go get some food, did some errands and came back to my house, took a shower and left the house. I still feel like crap.So, here are the lessons that I learned at Y-Con:
- Is not worth paying the reg fee for something that I'm not interested or even remote in liking.
- The dealer's room sucked.
- Being Horny while drunk is not a good thing
- Being deppressed while mixing those 2 things is never, ever a good thing.
- Friends caring for you while recovering from being drunk is a good thing.
- Sleeping is good
- Throwing up your lunch:not good.
So, there is my weekend/con report. Next year, I'm skipping this con altogether is a good idea. I can't wait to go to ReccaCon cause that con, IMHO, is the con that needs the more attention and love from the anime fans than Y-Con. Anyhoo, that will be it for today. |
